Privacy policy

Updated 17 October 2026. Effective since 1 October 2018.

This is how EM Creative Co. handles your information when you use elizabethmortoncreative.com, join the mailing list, click an affiliate link, buy a template, or just read the site. Short version: minimal data, no selling, no sharing. The sections below cover the specifics.

The mailing list

If you give me your email address to receive the free checklist or the newsletter, I collect that address and nothing else unless you volunteer it. I use it to send you the file you asked for and, from time to time, new posts and resources from this site. The list is managed through Mailchimp, which stores the address on my behalf and records ordinary email metrics such as whether a message was opened. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. I do not sell, rent or trade the list, and I do not pass your address to any other business. You can ask me to delete your address entirely at any time by emailing hello@elizabethmortoncreative.com. I will do it and confirm.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site go to retailers who pay me a small commission if you buy through them. It never changes what you pay. When you click one of those links, the retailer (or its affiliate network) may set cookies on their own site under their own privacy policy; I don't control those cookies and I don't see them. I only receive aggregate click and commission reports — never your name, email, card number, or any other personal data. See the full affiliate disclosure for how it all works.

Purchases

If you buy one of my templates, the payment is handled by a third-party checkout provider. I don't store your card details or see your full payment information. I keep a record of the order (the product you bought and the delivery email) so I can send you the files and resolve any issues. If you want your purchase record deleted after you've received the files, email me and I'll do it.

Analytics

I use aggregated web analytics to count visits and page views so I know which content is useful. These are counts, not identities. I don't attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data, and I don't use it to profile you or build an advertising audience. If you prefer to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies: session cookies that keep the site working as you browse it, preference cookies that remember your choices, and the analytics cookie described above. You can disable cookies in your browser; some parts of the site may stop working if you do.

How I use what I collect

I use the information above to:

  • Deliver files you asked for and complete purchases you made.
  • Send newsletters to people on the mailing list.
  • Understand which pages are useful.
  • Reply to messages you send me.

That's all. I don't use your data for targeted advertising, profiling, or lead-generation sales. I don't share your data with other businesses for their marketing.

Data location and transfers

This site is operated from the United States. If you're reading from outside the US, the limited data I collect may be transferred to and stored on servers in the US. By using the site, you agree to this.

Disclosure for legal reasons

I may disclose personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities (for example, a court order or government agency).

Service providers

I use third-party companies to make the site work: web hosting, Mailchimp (email), payment processors, and analytics. These providers have access to your data only to perform specific tasks on my behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for anything else.

Links to other sites

This site contains links to other sites — retailers, resources, other blogs. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please read their policies.

Children

This site is aimed at adults. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If I learn I've received information from someone under 16, I'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The "Updated" date at the top of this page is the last time it changed. For material changes I'll put a note on the home page or send an email to the list.
