Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, the retailer pays me a small commission. The price is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone there directly — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.

I take part in the LTK creator programme and in retailer and software affiliate programmes run directly or through networks. Where a link earns a commission, assume it does; I would rather you assume it about all of them than guess about any of them.

What I actually recommend

Everything on the shop pages is something I bought with my own money and put in a house that real guests slept in. I furnished six short-term rentals and ran them. The lists here are the receipts, not a catalogue somebody sent me.

• Nobody pays me to be included. There is no placement fee and no sponsored slot.
• If something did not hold up, I say so, and it either comes off the list or stays with the warning attached.
• If I have not used a thing myself, I do not put it on a shop page.

Prices

I do not publish prices for individual products anywhere on this site. Prices move constantly and a stale number is worse than no number, so the link takes you to the retailer's live price and that is the one that counts.

Downloads and templates

The paid templates and the free checklist contain no affiliate links. Products link out to pages; pages carry the links. That line is deliberate and it does not move.

Products I sell

The templates sold on this site are my own work, built from the systems I use to run my own rentals. When you buy one, I am paid directly — that is a sale, not a commission, and it is disclosed here for the same reason everything else is.
