Who is writing this

I am not reviewing furniture. I am showing you mine.

I am Elizabeth. I have designed eight short-term rentals — six of them mine, the rest other people's — and since 2018 I have run my own, cleaned them, replaced what broke, and read every review guests left about them.

I came to this from design. I ran an interior design blog for years and built websites for other designers before I ever owned a rental. Then I bought six of them and found out which of my nice ideas survived contact with actual guests.

Everything here comes out of that — which mattress survives four years of strangers, which white paint photographs well in a north-facing room, which sofa I regret. If I have not lived with it, I will say so.
